Ortho-k uses super-special contact lenses that are designed to gently reshape your cornea while you’re catching some Z’s.
The result is crystal-clear vision the moment you wake up and take those lenses out the following day – and that effect can keep on going all day long.
But don’t get too attached – once you stop using the lenses, your cornea will snap back to its original shape and the vision correction will fade away.
What visual problems can ortho-k correct?

Ortho-k is usually used to give people a temporary fix for myopia (nearsightedness) – but it can also do a bit to correct lesser degrees of astigmatism and hyperopia.
Eye care providers use ortho-k most often to temporarily correct mild to moderate cases of myopia.
Am I a good candidate for ortho-k?
Only your eye care provider will be able to give you the lowdown on whether ortho-k is up your alley.
But for people with mild to moderate myopia, it’s usually a pretty good fit.
